BOQ Specialist and ADAVB launch $5,000 recent graduate bursary

BOQ Specialist has today announced a partnership with the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB) to fund an annual professional development grant for recent dental graduates, further reinforcing its commitment to the ongoing professional development of dentists.


The ADAVB BOQ Specialist Recent Graduate Bursary aims to recognise recent graduates who are committed to high quality learning and to provide financial support for further professional development through continuing education courses.


“We are delighted to partner with the ADAVB to launch the inaugural ADAVB BOQ Specialist Recent Graduate Bursary”, said BOQ Specialist’s Southern Region Manager, Louis de Klerk. “Not only does this mark the strength of our longstanding relationship, but also our commitment to supporting the professional development of the next generation of dentists.”


The bursary includes $5,000 to be applied to ADAVB CPD training courses. The recipient of the bursary will be announced at the Annual ADAVB Award Ceremony on Friday 10 August 2019 and feature in the ADAVB’s online and print publications as well as BOQ Specialist’s own ‘Best Practice’ publication.


“BOQ Specialist has provided distinctive banking solutions to dentists for over 25 years so we deeply understand their career trajectory and the importance of continued professional development,” said BOQ Specialist’s CEO, Hugh Lander. “The purpose of this bursary is to reward the commitment of recent dental graduates to ongoing education and training in order to deliver the highest quality of care to their patients.”


Commenting on the bursary, ADAVB President, Dr Kevin Morris, said, “We are proud to partner with BOQ Specialist to offer this exclusive opportunity to our graduate members, recognising their commitment to excellence in the early stage of their career. This commitment extends not only to their own professional development but to the high-quality care of their patients and the wider community.”


The bursary is open to ADAVB members who completed their studies in the years 2011-2018, and submissions will be accepted until Monday 8 July 2019. For further information and to apply please visit bursary.adavb.org/grad.
